The Design of Pop Culture Website
Website in collaboration with Cole Benson
Independent Study at the University of Washington

I've never been one that felt pop culture played an overly important role in our society. In the winter of 2010 my fellow graduate student, Cole Benson, and I explored the role of popular culture and design in an independent study course with Professor Dominic Murien. Cole and I, having contrastingly different views on the role and importance of popular culture, designed the website The Design of Pop Culture as a way to explain how pop culture spreads and what impact design has on it. After many discussions and diagrams, this project helped me gain greater insights into our society and how two individuals with diverse viewpoints can successfully work together to complete a task.
